Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions.

Can I get a free estimate?

Yes. You can call us at 301.863.5050 or complete the estimate request form in the box to the right and we will schedule your FREE in-home estimate.

Accuracy is very important to a satisfied customer. Without scheduling an appointment at your residence we may not be able to judge the appropriate number of crew needed, the correct weight of your shipment, or the accurate amount of time your move will take. An appointment also allows us the chance to assess your specific needs and any other variables affecting your move. We prefer a more personal approach. We believe in being able to associate a face with a name so you, the customer, are more comfortable.

Most local moves are based on an hourly rate, and final charges reflect the actual time required to complete the move (minimums may apply). For interstate moves, most are based on the actual weight of the shipment, and you will be charged based on the actual weight of the shipment for non-binding estimates. Our moving consultants are trained to be as accurate as possible in estimating.  Binding estimates can be arranged on a case-by-case basis.  Ask your Moving Consultant about a binding estimate option for further details.

Yes we do! We even offer free used boxes to customers who are using our moving services. Free used boxes are subject to availability and can be picked-up from our warehouse at no cost or delivered for a fee. New materials are available at a cost per item. See Moving Resources/Packing Materials Order Form for details.

We offer our very own Space/Ships (portable storage containers) and short-term and long-term containerized storage in our 50,000 square foot warehouse. Our warehouse is regularly inspected for compliance with government standards for military shipments.

We offer packing and unpacking of individual items up to full pack/unpack services.

Yes we can. However, there are strict procedures for safely transporting flat panel televisions. Ask your Moving Consultant or call our customer service department for details.

Yes we can. We can even produce custom crates for vehicles such as jet skis, motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and 3-wheeled vehicles.

Generally, we prefer two weeks notice for local moves. The summer is the busiest season for our industry, so more time should be allowed, especially if you are moving out of state. Dependent upon seasonal availability, we can often coordinate your move within a week.

Yes we are fully insured and licensed in all required areas for all required services we provide.
